High-efficiency boiler replacement in a basement mechanical room

An old floor-standing boiler replaced with a wall-hung high-efficiency boiler and new near-boiler piping.

An older floor-standing gas boiler, with its piping and expansion tank, was replaced with a compact wall-hung high-efficiency boiler, freeing up floor space in a tight basement mechanical room.

  • Removed the old floor-standing boiler.
  • Mounted a new wall-hung high-efficiency boiler (Navien) on the mechanical room wall.
  • Re-piped the near-boiler connections in copper, with new circulators, valves and an expansion tank.
  • Ran new plastic venting for the high-efficiency boiler.
